Hazrat Wali named as teenager stabbed to death on Twickenham playing field, police say | UK News

A youngster stabbed to demise on a southwest London enjoying area has been named as Hazrat Wali, 18.

Police mentioned he died in hospital on Tuesday after being attacked in Craneford Approach, near Twickenham practice station.

Witnesses have described seeing a battle on the area and officers are CCTV.

Wali, of Notting Hill, was attacked at round 4.45pm and died round an hour later.

Richmond Upon Thames School, yards from the scene of the assault, confirmed the sufferer was a pupil.

Detective Chief Inspector Vicky Tunstall mentioned: “We’re nonetheless working to determine the motive behind this tragic assault and are following a lot of leads.

“Officers have recovered CCTV from the realm and spoken to a lot of witnesses who described seeing a battle within the moments earlier than Hazrat was attacked.

“We know a lot of people were on the field at the time and I’d urge anyone who has not yet spoken to police to contact us immediately.”
